Akina Nakamori is a singer and actress which rose to fame in 1982 as a teen idol, but became a widely successful and multifaceted singer, known for her deep, powerhouse vocals, as well as the mature tone of her songs.
After a suicide attempt in 1989, Nakamori tried to revive her singing career, but never with the strength of the 80s. In the 90s, she invested in acting with varying success.
